This round celebrates the U.S. Mint’s Saint-Gaudens coin, which was ever so popular from 1907 to 1933 with the outlawing of privately owned gold. The standing liberty is portrayed in detail near a cliff edge, holding the torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The magnificent round is surrounded by stars representing the different states with sun rays in the background.
